Pete Coors pointed out that his beer company pays a MIDWEST PREMIUM, a premium for aluminum set by a price-index published by PLATTS...and...is said to cover cost of transport, storing and delivering the metal. As with most imposed-pricing diktat...it's an artificially inflated premium that will cost beer companies billions of dollars without any market-related reason for such imposed-price-premium,(WSJ A-15;05-15-18).
